As an activity this is really dependent on when your birthday falls – if you celebrate yours in the cold winter months, ice skating at Brighton Pavilion is a fab way to spend an early evening, and you don't need to leave the kids at home! 2) Birthday karaoke at Lucky Voice Brighton

3) Birthday mini golf at Globalls

Globalls is a mad, UV-dinosaur-themed mini golf experience that has to be seen to be believed! The course features 12 holes, and is the perfect start to a birthday celebration for big kids looking to recapture a bit of their youth. Situated in Brighton Marina, once you've finished hacking your way around the course there's also a great pub/bar crawl to be had back to the centre of Brighton's nightlife.

For something completely different, take a trip to the bizarre burlesque world of Proud Cabaret.
