Happy National Vodka Day! Here Are Our Top 5 Vodka Based Cocktails...

Our cousins across the pond invented National Vodka Day back in 2009 and we certainly aren't complaining as it's a fab opportunity to celebrate some of our favourite cocktails. Below you'll find the top 5 drinks in the Lucky Voice Bars repertoire that use vodka as a base, with a couple of how-to videos thrown in for good measures. Cheers!

2) Rhubarb Sour

Chase Rhubarb Vodka, Angostura Bitters, egg white and lemon juice

Egg whites and rhubarb vodka might not sound like the likeliest of bedfellows, but trust us, this bad boy is a veritable taste epiphany. The sharpness of the rhubarb, bitters and lemon juice combine nicely with the smoothness of the shaken egg white to create a dangerously drinkable concoction that slides all too easily down the throat.

3) Salted Caramel Espresso Martini

You can add salted caramel to pretty much anything and make it better: ice cream + salted caramel = better; brownies + salted caramel = better; steak + salted caramel = well, to be honest we’ve never seen it done, but we’d be willing to wager it’s awesome. Our salted caramel espresso martini is no exception to the rule and stands resplendent as an answer to that age-old question, ‘Why doesn’t anyone make a dessert that’s alcoholic and drinkable?’

Still going strong over 75 years later, we just can’t get enough of the spicy, zesty brilliance of this accidental masterpiece.
